Well, it's that 'giving' time of year again and bikers everywhere are busy with charity toy run events to do their part. For me, here in Houston, two of the biggest and best organized runs are sponsored by San Jacinto Highrollers MC and Leathernecks MC (USMC). I've participated in runs by both clubs and have always been impressed with the turn out. The route is well planned, road guards are in full force, and freeways are blocked off so riders can roll in unity, safety...and style. This year, the weather was a little on the downside, cloudy, drissling rain, and cold. The turn out was not as its been in the past, but about 300 diehards still came out to show their support. However, the absence of independent was compensated by the presence for many clubs; Bandidos, Christian Ministries, Gypsies, of course, SJH, etc. The lead club came out in numbers to show their support at the Honda Wings Dealership where registration took place. Though they did not join in the actual ride, I'm sure they made it to the after party at the Cypress Salon. I hope to roll out next weekend to support the Leathernecks toy run in League City. All in all, it's for a good cause and riding with hundreds of other fellow bikers...nothing like it...truly rollin' thunder!

................................... The years rolled slowly past And I found myself alone Surrounded by strangers I thought were my friends I found myself further and further from my home
I guess I lost my way There were oh so many roads I was living to run and running to live ....................................
.................................... I began to find myself searching Searching for shelter again and again Against the wind A little something against the wind I found myself seeking shelter against the wind
Well those drifter's days are past me now I've got so much more to think about Deadlines and commitments What to leave in, what to leave out
Against the wind I'm still runnin' against the wind I'm older now but still runnin' against the wind Well I'm older now and still runnin'Against the wind

If you have any thoughts/experiences/photos you want to share that's related to Asians/Asian American Bikers, Rallies, Bikes, etc, just forward it to me and I'll do my best to post it. Since there aren't that many of us, it would be nice to keep a connection...who knows, our paths may cross one day along life's highway. That "is" the intended purpose of this blog. To bring together others like myself who find themselves drawn to the road, a road less traveled.

We came, we saw, we rocked. It was a beautiful day and a great crowd showed up. The judging took a little too long but as always, we had a good time....the free food and t-shirts were pretty cool too.
“Harley-Davidson’s 105th Anniversary marks another milestone in a long and storied history which began with the creation of the first Harley-Davidson motorcycle in a modest shed in Milwaukee,” said Jim Ziemer, Chief Executive Officer of Harley-Davidson, Inc. “But Harley-Davidson has always been more than a machine. It’s the Harley-Davidson experience that will bring thousands of friends and family from around the world to celebrate together with us here in Milwaukee.”
